Translation assistant:

• PC Translator helps with translations from / into English. The source text is entered into the upper window manually or by drag&drop. It is then parsed sentence by sentence, and the translation is shown in the middle window. The translator automatically selects words and phrases in the target language, as well as appropriate alternatives.
• Choose between automatic and interactive mode: In automatic mode, PC Translator gives you a quick overview over the contents of the text. In interactive mode, you are free to modify the translation in the middle window through selecting the appropriate entry from the alternatives provided, looking up alternate meanings in the dictionary, adding new entries, or altering the sentence structure by simple drag&drop. The corrected translation is then transferred to the lower window for printing or further processing.

Dictionary:

PC Translator is based on the largest dictionaries currently available for these language pairs. The dictionaries may be accessed from any application for easy reference. Entries can be copied into the clipboard and pasted straight into your application. Look up words from these 17 topics: General, Automobile, Biology, Chemistry, Transport, Physics, Technical, Computer, Electronics, Traffic, Medicine, Geology, Law, Business, Agriculture, Military, Zoology. Add new entries or modify existing ones according to your special requirements. The text-to-speech function reads each entry to you in correct pronunciation (English or German).

Multiple users and languages

PC Translator is available for the following language pairs: English <=> Czech (PC Translator 2007), English <=> Slovak (PC Translator 2005), German <=> Czech (PC Translator 2007), German <=> Slovak (PC Translator 2005). Since the dictionaries are too large to go on one CD, a new CD must be puchased for each language pair. Orders of two or more language pairs will receive a 10% discount, as will registered owners of an existing version of PC Translator. Please quote your serial number on our order form.

All PC Translator language pairs may be used simultaneously on the same CPU or in one network. Be sure to install the Czech and Slovak versions into different directories, as program file names in Czech and Slovak versions are virtually identical. Czech <=> German and Czech <=> English (resp. Slovak <=> German and Slovak <=> English) versions may be installed into one directory; allowing translation between the respective languages within one interface. Network installations share server-based dictionaries, clients are installed locally. Please e-mail us for network licence prices.

On Windows NT/2000/ME/XP systems, Windows keyboard drivers should be used. PC Translator automatically switches between keyboard drivers for respective languages.
